VOLLEYBALL: National team receives cash from the IOC

The International Olympic Committee has funded the national women’s volleyball team’s preparation for the Africa Olympic qualifiers to the tune of $33,000 (Sh2.2 million).

The money was meant to cater for the team’s preparation for three events — World Cup qualification tournament (Nairobi), World Cup finals (Japan) and the Olympic qualification in Blida, Algeria.
