Cairo, Egypt, January 16, 2008- The Egyptian Men’s Volleyball team started their count down preparation for the 2008 African Olympic qualifications to be held in Johannesburg, South Africa 1-10 February 2008 which determine the African qualifier to the Beijing Olympic Games in China this year.

The Egyptian team plays 4 matches with the Portuguese team of Sporting Spinha before ending their programme through a local camp in Cairo, and then they will finalize the friendly mates by two games against Morocco during their camp in Cairo. The African champions will leave for South Africa 31 January to compete for the lone African slot in the Olympic Games.
