ANDRINA Namatta and Mercy Tabitha will be out to better their advantage when the Pilsener sponsored National Beach Volleyball Circuit 3rd leg gets underway this morning at Lido Beach, Entebbe.
The two are joint top of the women's table with 395 points but Milly Laker (350) is keeping close watch and can take close in in case the table toppers falter.
Experienced Harriet Ssali, Mariam Nakamanya and Shila Omuriwe, who is just back from United States of America (USA are on 300 points and must put up splendid performances today to stand a chance of winning the crown.
Tony Lakony is atop the men's table on 395 points after two rounds of action but must be wary of Amon Ayinebyona, Alex Nduhukire and Hannington Nsubuga who are all tied on 300.
Meanwhile, former players, led by former Uganda Volleyball Federation (UVF) General Secretary Seppi Bamutire, will also converge at the same venue for inaugural veterans gala. Richard Basiima, Charles Odoch, John Oneka, Sam Meya and Henry Mbidde are some of the other veterans in the fray.
Nile Breweries under their flagship brand of Pilsener are sponsoring the National Beach Volleyball Circuit to a tune of Shs25million. The day long event begins in the morning at 9 a.m.
